THE CHALLENGE

The now-owners of Position, Cary and Danny were financial advisors under Merrill Lynch, but wanted to become independent. They began their journey by reaching out to TCWA to help with their departure, who then introduced Toolbox Studios. With this being a unique brand launch, we worked closely with the Position and TCWA team to maintain compliance standards, while launching a new brand that would attract attention, grow their clientele into new markets, and eventually, increase their number of employees and branches.

THE RESULTS

Position launched their brand and website on September 19, 2019. Since then, the team has very successfully grown their Assets Under Management and client base and has added a new advisor to the team. Position now has offices in the Woodlands, TX, Austin, TX, and Salt Lake City, UT. With the success of Position, the management team has initiated the process of developing Position Property under their holding company. This will be one of many tuck-in companies that will launch over the next year. Toolbox Studios continues to work with Position on website maintenance, advertising strategies, social media management, and all branding efforts for the new tuck-in companies.

Toolbox Studios began working with J&D Labs in 2014. It was a dream project to partner with this 25 year old privately-owned manufacturing company and develop new marketing plans, website, or trade-show strategies that helped take their business to the next level.

THE CHALLENGE

Toolbox Studios collaborated closely with the owners to develop a full brand including logo, photography, voice/tone, and all brand collateral including signage, print pieces, stationery, brochures, sell sheets, etc. We then built their custom website, developed a multi-year marketing strategy, implemented an aggressive marketing plan, maintained their social media and SEO, launched a new service offering (NutraStock®), and developed their trade show strategy.

In the ensuing years, J&D Labs sales skyrocketed, the value of the company doubled, and in 2017 they were purchased by CAPTEK® Softgel International through the private equity firm, Swander Pace. A key component of the sale was the strong market presence and well-developed brand. CAPTEK® opted to keep Toolbox Studios as their new marketing firm.

With the industry’s largest trade show looming, Toolbox Studios quickly reworked the J&D Labs trade show strategy to an industry announcement of CAPTEK’s purchase. The strategy included pre-show print and digital ads, geo-fencing the event which garnered 136,096 impressions with 401 clicks, and a 4,188 Facebook pin drop reach with 57 clicks. Additionally, we ran a highly successful lead generation campaign via a WIFI sponsorship that garnered a reach of 7,219 and 100 leads requesting to meet during the trade show. Toolbox Studios had staff on-hand at the trade show to handle all last-minute details and schedule appointments.

We then successfully transitioned all previous media buys, facility signage, print collateral, social media, and website content. At the same time, Toolbox Studios worked closely with CAPTEK® to develop our relationship, understand their objectives, and then initiated a marketing strategy that made sense for their international business.

In the following years, we built and launched CAPTEK’s new website, developed an e-commerce site for their NutraStock® bulk ordering service, and completely re-designed their trade show booth from a 20×20 configuration to a 30×30 island. We developed relationships with industry news outlets, orchestrated interviews, distributed press releases, and maintained a strong international presence via well-developed marketing, trade show, and social media plans.

THE CHALLENGE

Granite Supplements was created as a niche company to provide supplements to a target group of aspiring and professional bodybuilders. They started off strong but had to re-evaluate their strategy in 2019 with changes in management that sought to broaden the market and appeal. Our challenge was to pivot a brand with a strong website, social media presence, and packaging already in place.

THE PROCESS

Toolbox Studios slightly softened the brand, defined fonts and colors, and created photo standards and messaging consistency. We established a brand guide that defines Granite Supplements’ goals, mission, and values. It also formed the basis for developing guidelines for the ambassadors associated with Granite Supplements.

We designed and built a custom WordPress site with robust e-commerce capabilities within Woo Commerce. We integrated subscription emails, a loyalty program, and implemented four specific content themes to help the audience understand the variety of potential for these products (Weight Management, Fat Loss, Muscle Building, and Performance). Once the website was complete, we worked with Granite Supplements to develop content for blogs, launch email campaigns through their newsletter; develop social media posts on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn; digital and social advertisements; and a marketing strategy that increased website traffic and improved sales. Our goal was to establish an educational user-experience that promotes the products, while incorporating keywords that would assist in Search Engine Optimization.

The Granite Supplements packaging was due for reprint, so our team strategically pitched an entirely new design to completely break from the previous bodybuilding-only focus. The new packaging moves from a bulky tub to a convenient bag. It takes up less space in the gym bag, has a wider opening for easier access to the product, and is environmentally friendly.

MEASURE OF SUCCESS

Toolbox Studios continuously reviews the website, campaigns, and social media metrics to tweak, brainstorm, design, maintain, listen and interact with the audience. We have built an extremely loyal and diversified following.

The Granite Supplements website is a living, breathing, vital part of the company, especially, with the e-commerce portion. We implemented a heat map that pulls data on the areas of the website that receive the most attention. We use that information to update pages, improve the performance on mobile devices, as well as adjust our goals for displaying products.

Toolbox Studios is the Marketing Department for Granite Supplements. After years of overhauling the brand, we are their trusted partner to maintain and broaden their customer base.

Branding Iron Holdings (BIH) is a meat products company for both B2B and B2C. It was initially two different companies, Holten Meats, and Rochester Meats, which came together as one in the Food Service Industry. Both manufactured individual quick freeze (IQF) beef patties and an array of other meat products that institutions purchase to prepare delicious items for their menus.

Corridor Funding was established to build a bridge between traditional money lending and hard money lending. Corridor Funding was struggling with how to portray their brand since the hard money lending industry was typically considered less reliable than that of traditional money lenders, but traditional money lenders tended to have downfalls such as long draw periods. Toolbox Studios partnered with Corridor Funding to define their already-established brand and update their website to incorporate key words that will drive traffic to their website through Search Engine Optimization.

THE PROCESS

We worked with Corridor Funding to create a brand that included a logo, an updated brand icon, more differentiating color scheme and brand guide that portrayed the goals of Corridor Funding. In addition to the brand, our team developed a site map that improved the readability of the site and emphasize the unique products that Corridor Funding had available to their customers.

MEASURE OF SUCCESS

HubSpot has a tracking mechanism that follows the users directly from initial interaction with the Loan Officer to navigation throughout the website, to becoming a hot lead. This provides data to our team that we use to adjust website content, as well as our marketing techniques for HubSpot.

Our digital team integrated HubSpot to the website, as an on-going marketing strategy. We are working on the email-flows, which will be launched June 2020.

THE CHALLENGE

A website was already designed and built, however, Google had blacklisted their domain, and the owner of their domain was holding it hostage, Not only was this preventing Mosaic’s website from showing up on Google, but also prevented Mosaic from redirected their domain to a new webiste. Mosaic wanted control of their website, and the ability to independently manage their website, as well as needed a more effective website that could be resubmitted to Google and would improve website traffic.

SOLUTIONS

We developed a site map that would respond well to mobile and desktop displays. We improved the user experience through a more organized navigation, and reworked the messaging and imagery to speak to working adults, seeking solutions to their Human Resources. Our goal was to establish consistency throughout the site, while incorporating key words that would assist in Search Engine Optimization.
