Toolbox adds junior designer to creative team
SAN ANTONIO, TX – Toolbox Studios, a local award-winning branding firm, added Maria Harrington to its creative team this week. In her role as a junior designer, Harrington will support the Toolbox creative team by delivering multi-channel concepts and solutions for a variety of clients including USAA and
The Wall Street Journal.
Harrington, who recently graduated from Texas State University-San Marcos with a B.A. in Communication Design, first worked at Toolbox Studios during the summer of 2008 after receiving a sought-after Toolbox design internship. While interning at Toolbox, Harrington continued her studies at TSU and maintained a full-time job with Dell in Austin.
Harrington said of her journey to Toolbox, “It took me seven years to graduate because of my full time jobs and school. I knew it would be an uphill climb in order to be able to wake up and go to a job that I truly enjoyed, but after the long journey I am able to say it was worth every minute of hard work to be here at Toolbox.”
During her free time (and when she isn’t commuting), she enjoys reading, crafts and exploring the live music scene with her husband.
Toolbox Creative Director Paul Soupiset said, “We’ve been fortunate here at Toolbox to have a competitive internship program that consistently draws great talent; in some cases, that rare mix of creativity, intuition and affability is found in one person. Maria’s work on U-TURN Magazine and The Wall Street Journal Classroom Edition has already received high praises — we look forward to seeing her continue to flourish.”
