Toolbox announces Summer 2009 interns

San Antonio, TX — Toolbox Studios today announced its 2009 Summer Internship Program selections. Two students were chosen from a diverse pool of design, advertising, and account service applicants from colleges and universities across the United States:

Jamie Feola is a senior advertising design major at the Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, Georgia. As design intern, Jamie will assist with multiple-channel strategy, design, and execution across Toolbox’s key lines of business: financial services, food and beverage, and youth media. She recently participated in the prestigious National Student Advertising Competition and maintains a 4.0 GPA in her major.

Kathryn Legendre, a mass communications-advertising major at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, will return to Toolbox for a fourth summer as youth media intern, assisting with client brand management, production and design across multiple channels including  podcasting, print, social networking sites and Web development. Legendre will also manage Toolbox’s in-house podcast studio. She is also currently advertising director at KTSW in San Marcos.

“Our internship program has drawn top student talent over a decade, and we couldn’t be more pleased with our prospects for 2009,” said creative director and youth media account director Paul Soupiset, who has headed up the Toolbox Summer Internship Program since the late 1990s.

He continued, "Jamie Feola's student work, academic prowess and experience in advertising, writing, publicity and social networking mean she’ll be able to hit the ground running. It also speaks volumes that Kathryn Legendre has returned for an unprecedented fourth summer. Kathryn has taken a leadership role each summer with our podcast development and an expanding role in print and interface design as well.”
