Toolbox Studios strengthens its in-house software development team
SAN ANTONIO, TX – Toolbox Studios is pleased to announce that Derek Goins has joined the web development team as a senior programmer. Toolbox will leverage Derek’s expertise in planning, development and support of interactive media applications.
Derek brings to Toolbox both creative and technical sensibilities. He started in the industry as a graphics and web designer and eventually found his calling in programming. As a multimedia and web developer, Derek possesses an intuitive understanding of human-computer interaction and GUI design. He brings outstanding skills in software development using Flash, Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL, CSS and JavaScript.
Derek will report directly to Lewis Smith, Web Team Senior Manager and Creative Director. “Derek is a tremendous asset to the web team,” says Smith. “Our clients are demanding more dynamic and creative sites and applications every day, and Flash is emerging as a viable solution. By applying Derek’s strength with Flash, the web team can help clients realize the full potential of this technology.”
Derek’s past work experience includes designing for Studio Gallo, programming for Avalon Digital Solutions and providing technical and client account management for Blue Clover Studio in San Antonio. Derek comes to Toolbox from Plano, TX-based ESPRE Solutions, Inc. where he developed and deployed web-based applications utilizing ESPRE’s video codec and provided custom programming services.
